The contribution of these five boys to my life is something that I can’t even come close to explaining. They have become a part of my heart, a part of my soul, a part of my universe, including the ones I make up in my head all the time. I still remember the day I came across my first video of them, a little over two years from now, wondering who on earth those weird, silly boys could be. Little did I know that they would be my inspiration, my motivation, my source of light in times of trouble. I never would’ve thought they would help me find my own passion towards music, towards playing the piano and writing. As they grew, I grew up with them. As they cried, I cried with them. As they struggled, triumphed, conquered, and succeeded, I was with them every step of the way. And even though I wasn’t a part of their journey from the very beginning, I learned to love and understand each and every one of them, come to appreciate the talents they share oh-so-generously. I simply cannot thank them enough for everything they’ve done, how much they’ve inspired me from the very first time I laid my eyes on them. The life lessons that came along with being part of their fandom are memories I will never forget. Lee Jinki, thank you for teaching us how to be a leader. Choi Minho, thank you for showing us that adding a little more passion in doing things won’t hurt. Kim Jonghyun, thank you for demonstrating how to be strong, inside and out. Kim Kibum, thank you for making us become aware of our true identity no matter what. Lee Taemin, thank you for showing us that we can grow and improve. And finally, to all five, to SHINee, thank you for sharing your music with us. Thank you for touching our hearts. Have a happy, blessed, and bright 5th anniversary. We love you <3

I only got into kpop last year, and I only became a Shawol right before the Sherlock era began, but even comparing you five from last year to now, I can see such drastic changes within all of you. Never in my life did I think that I would constantly be up until 5AM every night just to watch five men dance and sing around on stage in elaborately flamboyant outfits (some of which leave me deeply questioning the cordi-noona’s sense of style), and yet here I am. Looking back to your debut, it’s so strange for me to watch interviews when you were all so new and young, and had yet to even discover your personalities. I feel like I’ve been with you five since the very beginning, despite the fact that I’m still a relatively ‘new’ fan. That being said; words cannot express how proud I am of you five; how far you’ve come, how successful you’ve been, and how you’ve grown not only in your performing abilities, but as a group and as individuals. No matter what is thrown at you boys, you always find a way to tackle and resolve any issue or ‘scandal’ maturely and professionally. I can’t wait to spend many more anniversaries with you as the years pass, and to keep watching you all grow. Happy 5th anniversary, SHINee!

Let’s run ‘til the very end, oh? I will always (and forever) be a loyal Shawol. You amaze me. Onew and Jonghyun’s voice that I could listen forever. Key’s joke that can make me ROFLMAO. Minho’s (very) good rapping&acting skills. Taemin’s amazing moves. And All of your charming smiles.

When all of you smile, we (shawols) smile. When all of you laugh, we also laugh. When all of you cry, we can always be your crying shoulder. We will always lend you a hand and support you ‘til the very end. I’m so thankful that I am one of your fans. I’m so thankful that seeing your pictures and videos can always make me smile.

2008-2013, that’s a long year eh? You have grown so much, especially Taemin (Taemin to Taeman lol kidding) Your dorkiness is also one of the things that me fell in love with all of you. Jinki, you’re the BEST leader ever. Jonghyun, keep singing with your amazing voice. Key, continue making us laugh. Minho, you’re really charismatic especially when you rap. Taemin, you really amaze me with your awesome moves. SHINee, thank you for existing! I love you to the moon and back ♡
